Il avait jugé bon, pour son premier interrogatoire, de se prémunir de toute possible panne du dictaphone en engageant un perroquet. Mais l'oiseau, répétant chaque parole du suspect, rendait l'enregistrement incompréhensible et inexploitable. Il fut acquitté.
